Ladies finish sixth at Hal Sutton Intercollegiate

BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Centenary women’s golf team finished sixth with a tournament score of 701 – eight strokes back of Jackson State University in fifth place. The Ladies shot a 358 in the final round after firing a 343 on the opening day.

Sarah Bradshaw paced the Maroon and White with a 166 for the two days to finish 11th overall. The senior shot an 81 on the first day and followed with an 85 in the final round. Jamie Wright finished a stroke back of Bradshaw in a tie for 12th after equally Bradshaw’s final round score. Wright shot an 82 in the first round.

Taylor Thompson finished tied for 20th with a tournament score of 171 after shooting an 89 in the final round with Kylee Goldthorn in 34th with a 197. Goldthorn fired a 99 in the final round.

Mary Hardin-Baylor won the tournament with a 638 with the University of Texas at Tyler in second with a 645. Tyler Junior College rounded out the top three teams with a 669. Laura Lindsey won a three-way playoff to claim the individual title with a 156 for the tournament. Kelly Gonyea and Kaley Jackson from UMHB finished tied for second.
