PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Centenary’s Robyn Price advanced to the USA Gymnastics Individual National Championships on bars and is an alternate on vault following the first day of competition at Brown University.

"I am looking forward to watching Robyn compete one more time. She did a fantastic bar routine to finish in the top five and qualify on to event finals,” said head coach Jackie Fain. “She has received a very good draw for her order on Sunday and will compete at the end of the rotation, so that will set her up nicely to be able to go in there and go for a big score."

Price posted a score of 9.825 on bars and a 9.775 on vault. The senior finished with a 37.60 in all-around.

Stephanie Strickler finished ninth overall in all-around with a score of 38.025. Strickler posted a 9.80 on bars and a 9.650 on floor. Kellie Slater added a 9.60 on vault for the Ladies.

"All of the Ladies did a great job representing Centenary this weekend on the national stage.  It was a great competition and we were honored to be a part of it,” stated Fain. “It was a bittersweet meet as it was the last time our seniors, Robyn and Tawnee (Hadd), will have the opportunity to put on their Centenary leotard and we will certainly miss them next year. However it was also a great opportunity for the rest of the girls to have the experience of being here and to bring their excitement and enthusiasm back to the team as they start to prepare for next year."

Individual finals begins at Noon on Sunday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
