Ladies finish fourth; Wright second at SCAC Championships

BOERNE, Texas – The Centenary women’s golf team shot a two-day score of 687 to finish fourth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

Jamie Wright finished runner up at the championships with a two-day score of 156. Wright shot an 81 in the final round after posting a 75 in the opening round.

Taylor Thompson improved her first day score by a stroke to finish 15th with a 171. Jessica Thigpen finished nine strokes back of Thompson in 18th after besting her first day score of 91 by two shots.

Kylee Goldthorn finished 20th overall with a 187 shooting a 95 in the first round. Sarah Bradshaw withdrew from the final round and finished 24th.

Ali Walden from Southwestern claimed the individual medalist honors with a two-day score of 155 with Trinity’s Brigette Lee in third with a 159.

Trinity claimed the team title with a 646 after sitting in second after the first day. Southwestern finished one stroke back of the Tigers after holding the team lead in the first round. Schreiner finished third with a 663.
