SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary honored two its best at the annual athletics banquet on Wednesday evening as Jonathan Blount and Robyn Price were given the Centenary Athletic Achievement Award.

Price is a four-time All-Midwest Independent Conference performer and USA Gymnastics All-American. This season after qualifying nationally in all-around, she finished 14th in the country on the uneven bars. Last season, the Marion, Ark., native assisted in leading the Ladies to a third place finish at the USA Gymnastics National Championships and served as the team’s co-captain. Price has served as a Student Government Association representative and a member of Fellowship for Christian Athletes and member of the Dean’s List. The senior also interned in the college’s advancement office.

Blount is a three-time All-American in his career and two-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year. This past season, he was named the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches Small College Player of the Year and was also tabbed to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s All-Louisiana Team for the second straight season. Blount holds the single-game school records for points in a game and free throws attempted, the single-season marks for free throws attempted and made and ranks eight in school history and ninth in conference history in career points with 1,573 and is ninth in program history in three-point field goals made. He concluded his career with six games of 30-plus points and has three of the top single-game scoring marks in Gents’ history.

The criterion for the award is based on athletic achievement and includes involvement in campus activities, leadership, community involvement and scholastics.
