Netters conclude 2014 campaigns

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Centenary tennis teams concluded their 2014 campaigns with losses on Saturday at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The Ladies fell 5-1 to Austin College with the Gents dropping a 5-0 decision to Southwestern.

After falling in all three doubles points, Ashley McHugh delivered the Maroon and White’s lone point with a after Aardra Venkatachalam retired in the second game giving McHugh the victory. Lauren Beurlot, Katie Cornwell and Nicole Martinez dropped the remaining singles contests to secure the win for the Roos.

On the men’s side, Michael Bohme suffered the lone singles loss falling 6-0. 6-0. Bohme paired with Kane Kershaw in the second doubles slot falling 8-1. Jordan Sangalli and Zachary Provenza fell 8-0 in the top doubles position. The Gents were forced to forfeit the No.6 singles and No. 3 doubles spot.
