SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary baseball head coach Mike Diaz announced that Kaleb Kirk completed the necessary paperwork and deposit with intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana. Kirk comes to Centenary from Garrison High School in Garrison, Texas.

“We are excited to have Kirk join the Centenary baseball team,” said Diaz. “He’s one of the best pitchers in Texas. We see great things in his future. He will provide much needed help to our pitching staff and we look for him to contribute right away.”

Kirk, a two-time, all-pitcher during his career, was named Defensive Most Valuable Player pitching 100-plus innings and allowing the fewest runs his junior season. He was selected to the THSBCA All-Star Game this past season. Kirk has posted a 1.05 ERA this season while grabbing 11 wins on the mound. He assisted in leading the Bulldogs to the area title in 2014.

In the classroom, Kirk was named to the honor roll and BETA Club all four years. He plans on engineering at Centenary.
