Men's golf adds trio

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Centenary men’s golf coach Emlyn Aubrey  announced that Graham Maxwell, Stafford Lyons and Jeffrey Scott, Jr. completed the necessary paperwork and deposit with intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana.

Maxwell comes to Centenary from Bolton High School in Alexandria, La. Where he played for Scott Welch. The four-time letterwinner was named Most Valuable Player in 2012 and 2013 and was individual district champion in 2013. Maxwell was a two-time state champion qualifier and four-time regional qualifier. Maxwell plans to major in Biophysics at Centenary.

Lyons is a native of Phoenix, Ariz., where he played tennis at Paradise Valley Community College and received the Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Lyons began his career at Chaparral High School where he was second team all-region in 2009 and helped lead CHS to the state runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2008. He plans to major in Business Administration.

Scott played for Michael Meredith at Parkway High School in Bossier City, La. Scott plans to major in Biology at Centenary.
