SHREVEPORT, La. -- Centenary volleyball coach Caley Carter announced that Jayde Monette completed the necessary paperwork and deposit with intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana. Monette comes to Centenary from Breaux Bridge High School in Breaux Bridge, La.

“Jayde has the potential to be a key player for us and has a passion for the sport that we are excited to have on our team dynamic as we rebuild the program,” said Carter. “She is a great addition to our already large group of new players.”

Monette was a back-to-back all-district performer for Laurie Simon’s squad. She was also received the Volleyball Tiger Leadership Award her senior and sophomore seasons. The outside hitter was a three-time BETA Club member and was selected as a Louisiana Girl’s State School Representative in the summer of 2013. She was also selected as a “Big Shot on Campus” her last three years at BBHS. The multi-time AB Honor Roll Award winner plans to major in Biology/Physical Therapy at Centenary.
