MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Centenary volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision on Sunday afternoon to Lyon College to conclude the final day of the Rhodes College Invitational. The Ladies fall to 2-5 on the season while Lyon improves to 1-6.

Rachel Perkins and Desiree Frey posted double-digit kills in the effort. Perkins led the way with 15 kills while Frey added 10 in the contest. Frey also recorded 15 digs defensively for the Maroon and White.

Allison Lazewski dished out 27 assists in the outing while Haley Cubberly led the team with 22 digs in the defensive effort.

Centenary fought back in the second set to tie the contest defeating LC 25-23. The Ladies placed themselves into position to take a 2-1 lead, but were nipped 25-22 to fall down a set. Lyon clinched the match with a 25-15, fourth-set victory.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Sept. 12 as it travels to Marshall, Texas for a pair of matches. The Ladies open with LeTourneau at 5 p.m. and close out the day against home-standing East Texas Baptist at 7 p.m.
