SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary women’s soccer team fell 3-0 to the University of Dallas on Friday evening in the Ladies (1-8, 0-3 SCAC) first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, home outing of the season. Dallas improved to 4-5 on the season and 2-1 in the conference.

The Crusaders’ defense held the Maroon and White in check allowing just six shots on the night led by Hannah Bate with two. Madison Alexander, Madeline Stokes, Meaghan Rogers and Chelsea Russell each logged an attempt.

Erica Coker (1-7) was saddled with the loss in net for the Ladies recording eight saves in the contest. Coke logged the first 75’ and was replaced by Lauren Cullen for the final 15’ as she tallied three saves. UD attempted 21 shots in the affair including placing 14 on goal.

Alice Nelson, Kayla Nguyen and Mackenzie Vasile combined for the trio of scores for the Blue and White. Nelson logged the first goal in the 29’. Nguyen (54’) and Vasile (72’) each recorded their scores in the second stanza.

Tori Fleharty (2-2) notched the win as she was one of four Crusaders to take time between the pipes.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 28 as they host Austin College. Kick is slated for approximately 2 p.m.
