SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team drew a scoreless, double overtime outing for the second time this season this time against Austin College on Sunday afternoon.

The Sunday affair marks the third time on the campaign the Gents (4-2-2, 1-2-2 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) have gone into double, extra sessions.

Rylan Whan recorded his fourth shutout of the season in the outing. Whan tallied five saves for the Gents in net amassing 39 on the season. The sophomore has allowed just six goals all season en route to an 86.7 save percentage.

Centenary attempted 14 shots on the day which stands as the second most this season just behind 21 against Concordia (MN) College earlier this season. Jason Aiken led the way for the squad with four attempts including placing two on goal. Zach Kidder added three shots with Reece Durham and Kellan Klaus providing two each.

AC was led by Joey Alcocer with five attempts while Roberto Varela and Seth Windsor each added four attempts. Andrew Celio gathered two saves in the goalkeeping effort for the Roos.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3 as the Gents travel to Trinity. Match time is slated for 6 p.m.
