SHREVEPORT, La. – Four, home matches headline the 2015 Centenary gymnastics’ schedule this season including a meets against nationally touted, Division I programs Louisiana State University and the University of New Hampshire.

“I am excited about our schedule this year.  We have a full schedule for the first time in several years which should really benefit our team,” said Fain. “This will give us more of a chance to build our scores throughout the season to help raise our regional qualifying score.”

The Ladies open the season on Jan. 10 in a meet against fellow USA Gymnastics member Texas Woman’s University. The second home meet of the season is marked for Feb. 6 against Division III Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Centenary wraps up its home slate with two, straight home meets. The Ladies welcome LSU to the Gold Dome on Mar. 13 and conclude the weekend with the University of New Hampshire on Mar. 15.

“We are anticipating some really exciting meets both at home and on the road. LSU had their best season in the history of the program last season finishing third in the nation and UNH finished 23rd in the rankings last year,” stated Fain.

Midwest Independent Conference meets at Illinois State (Jan. 18), TWU (Feb. 1, Feb. 21) and Southeast Missouri State (Mar. 6) make up the heart of the schedule for the Ladies along with trips to Iowa State (Feb. 8) and Alaska-Anchorage (Feb. 27-Mar. 1).

“We have our work cut out for us to get ready so early in the season and we are doing our best to prepare now,” said Fain. “The team is really working hard this fall to make this a great season. We have a rigorous schedule ahead of us, with 13 meets in 11 weekends, and are preparing diligently to be ready to roll.”

The MIC Championships are scheduled for Mar. 21 in Denton, Texas with USA Gymnatics National Championships set for Apr. 10-12 in Philadelphia, Pa.
