IRVING, Texas – The Centenary women’s soccer team posted its lone goal in the 57’ in a 5-1 setback to the University of Dallas on Friday afternoon. Centenary falls to 1-19 on the season and 0-9 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Madison Alexander provided the Ladies’ score off an assist from Carly Slovensky. The goal was the second of the season for the junior as the assist was the first on the campaign for the senior.

Erica Coker took the loss for the Maroon and White. The sophomore played 67:43 of the 90 minutes and recorded 11 saves against the first three of the five UD goals. Lauren Cullen surrendered two goals along with two saves in the final 22:17 of the outing.

Mariah Fairbanks and Taylor placed UD up 2-0 after the first 45 minutes, but Nicole Johnson quickly added the third goal in the 50’.

Following Alexander’s goal to cut the Crusaders’ lead to two scores, Rebecca Brunter and Mackenzie Vasile added two goals to close out the contest.

Elena Naccari claimed the win in net with one save in 90 minutes.

Centenary attempted five shots on the day with UD taking 26 shots. The Ladies placed three shots on goal with the Blue and White attempting 18 on target.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 19 as they travel to Austin College. Kick is slated for 2 p.m.
