SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 affair to Texas Lutheran on Friday evening in front of a Homecoming crowd. The setback moved the Gents to 4-10-3 overall and 1-8-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. TLU improved t0 7-7-2 in the win and 5-6-1 in conference play.

The lone goal of the evening came off the foot of Isaac Lopez in the 88’. The attempt was one of a team-best five taken by Lopez on the night as the Bulldogs took 16 shots in the contest.

Centenary was stymied in the outing attempting just two shots as Jason Aiken and Michael Pullano each took aim at placing the Gents on the board.

Jonathan Michael (7-7-2) received the win in goal for the Black and Gold despite recording a save. Rylan Whan (3-6-2) took the loss for the Maroon and White with four saves against the one score in the full 90 minutes of action.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 26 as they host Schreiner University. Kick is slated for 1 p.m.
