SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team had its Senior Day spoiled as Colorado College picked a 2-1 decision to conclude the Gents season.

After the Tigers took a 2-1 advantage in the 54’, the Maroon and White gathered its final goal of the 2014 season as Kellan Klaus connected with Jeremy Klespis for the Gents’ score and cutting the lead in half. The score was the fourth of the season for Klespis, who finishes second on the team in goals.

Klaus’ second assist on the campaign stands as the third of his career as the Lake Charles, La., native wrapped up his four-year career. Klaus along with Gabriel Zahm and Daryn Beaugh were honored prior to the start of the match.

Centenary took four shots on the night with Beaugh, Zach Kidder and Dillon Rogers each taking an attempt.

Jack McCormick registered the first goal of the evening for the Black and Gold taking a ball from Caden McKenzie in 42’ and leading the Tigers to a 1-0 advantage at the intermission. Stuart Beezley posted the game-winner in the 54’ off an assist from Seth Newby.

Colorado College garnered 13 shots in the contest led by four from Newby.

Rylan Whan (3-8-2) received the loss in goal for the Maroon and White recording fives saves in the complete game effort.

Theo Hooker (11-2-2) took the win for the Tigers in net. Hooke recorded three saves in the decision.

Centenary wrap ups its season 4-12-3 and 1-10-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
