IRVING, Texas – The Centenary women’s basketball dropped its first game of the University of Dallas Classic falling 85-52 to the University of the Ozarks. The Ladies move to 0-3 on the season while UO improved to 2-0 on the campaign.

Briana Edwards and DeiAnna Hall paced the Maroon and White in scoring. Edwards scored a team-best 16 points to go along with a team-leading eight rebounds. Hall added 11 points for the Ladies.

Centenary faced a tough night in action held to 27.3 percent from the floor and 53.6 percent from the free-throw line. The Ladies, which never led in the contest, trailed by as many as 36 points with 5:22 left to play in the contest.

UO was led by a pair of Eagles with double-doubles in the outing. Taylor Farmer posted a team-best 24 points and 11 rebounds. Bryanna Moltz added 10 points and tied with Farmer for tops on the team on the glass. Jordan Andrews chimed in 19 points to round out the trio of double figure scorers.

The Eagles shot a 53.3 clip from behind the arc en route to a 44.4 percent from the field. They added a 65.0 percent from the charity stripe.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 22 as they face Elmira College in the final day of the Dallas Classic. Tip is slated for 1 p.m.
