SHREVEPORT, La. – Briana Edwards led the Centenary women’s basketball team with her 19th career double-double, but it wasn’t enough as the Ladies (0-10) second half rally fell short falling 69-51 to Hendrix College on Tuesday afternoon. Hendrix improved to 3-7.

The Shreveport, La., native also registered five blocks in the contest which is tied for fifth in single-game efforts and moves her to second all-time in blocks with 101.

Rebecca Thompson joined Edwards in double-digit scoring with 13 points marking her fifth game in double figures this season and first since Dec. 9 at LSU-Alexandria.

After trailing 42-15 at the break, Centenary outscored the Warriors 36-27 in the second half including 15 points off 20 HC miscues.

The Warriors’ bench outscored the Maroon and White by 26 points as Hendrix received 33 points from its reserves. Madison Martin added 12 points from the bench for the Black and Orange as Anna King led the way with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
