SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary women’s basketball team fell 100-33 to Trinity University on Friday evening in the Gold Dome. The Ladies return to action on Sunday, Feb. 1 against Schreiner University. Tip is slated for Noon.

Rebecca Thompson led the Maroon and White with 11 points and 14 rebounds, with 11 boards coming the defensive end. The double-double marks the third of the season for the Benton, La., native and her first since Dec. 9 at Louisiana State University-Alexandria.

Briana Edwards and Haley Deshuatelle each tallied eight points for the Ladies in the effort.

Centenary struggled from the field connecting on just 23.6 percent against the conference’s top squad.

The Tigers posted a 55.9 clip on the floor including going 13 for 26 from behind the arc. TU was also 73.3 percent from the charity stripe.

Rebecca Gordon paced a pack of Tigers in double figures with 20 points. Taylor Hollins and Allison Staley each added 14 points. Anecia Richardson tallied 12 points while Monica Holguin rounded out the group with 10 points.
