Season-highs lead @Centenarygym to win over UW-Eau Claire

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary gymnastics posted a season-high team score of 190.325 to claim the dual title against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 187.850. Centenary’s Ashley White was named all-around champion with a season-high score of 38.750 with teammate Sylvia Keiter in second with a 37.525 –also a season-high.

The Ladies recorded season-bests in each event vault (47.900), bars (45.800), beam (48.475) and floor (48.150).

On beam, all six participants scored a tied or set a season-best as the Maroon and White took the top five spots in the event. Kellie Slater claimed the title with a score of 9.750 followed by Saxon Reaux and Keiter tied for second with a 9.70. White finished fourth in the event with 9.675 while Megan Desjardins tied her season-mark with a 9.650. Noel Stubbs rounded out the group with a 9.40 in ninth.

White led the Ladies on vault with a season-high 9.725 to claim the event crown followed by Stubbs in second with a 9.70 – also a season-high. Slater finished third in the event with a 9.60. Allison Scates posted a season-best with a 9.525 in fifth. Taylor LeMoal added a 9.350 in seventh with Keiter in 10th with 9.30 – both season-highs.

Centenary posted four season-bests in floor exercise as Slater finished tied for second with a 9.70 along with White. The score marked a season-high for Slater in the event. Scates added a season-best with 9.675 tied for fifth with Jordan Anderson, also with a season-high. Desjardins added a season-mark with a 9.400 in the event to finish ninth.

On bars, the Maroon and White claimed the top two spots with White and Scates each recording season-highs. White, with a 9.650, was named event champion as Scates added a 9.525.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 8 as the Ladies travel to Iowa State University. Meet time is slated for 2 p.m.
