IRVING, Texas – The Centenary women’s basketball team dropped a 91-50 decision to the University of Dallas on Friday evening.

Jessica Bruit led a trio of Ladies in double figures with 15 points on the evening. The mark ties a season-high for the freshman who set the benchmark earlier this season against Elmira.

Rebecca Thompson added 11 points with 10 coming from Briana Edwards. It marks the 10th game in double-digits this season for Thompson while Edwards records her 14th on the campaign.

Kelsey Butrum tied a season-best with 8 points while Lindsey Bruce tied a season-high with six rebounds. Kayla Ruth tied Bruce with six boards on the night – marking a season-best for the senior. Edwards led the squad with eight rebounds.

Centenary finished the night shooting 38.8 percent from the field in the decision as UD connected on 42.2 percent from the floor.

The Crusaders, who led 47-33 at the intermission, held the Ladies to 17 points in the second half as they extended their lead with 44 second stanza points.

Brooke Hagemann paced Dallas with 10 points and 10 rebounds on the evening. Sammi Tso added 14 points while Lindsey Gendron chimed in 13 points to round out the double-digit scores for the Blue and White.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 7 as it travels to Austin College. Tip is slated for 4 p.m.
