Ladies fall in dual meet at Iowa State

AMES, Iowa – The Centenary gymnastics team fell 195.775 – 187.250 in dual meet at Iowa State University on Sunday afternoon. The meet marked the second of the weekend for the Maroon and White, which defeated the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday in the Gold Dome behind a season-high performance.

Allison Scates finished third for the Ladies in all-around with a score of 37.950. The sophomore led Centenary in the uneven bars with a 9.650 which was seventh overall. Ashley White garnered a fourth place finish in all-around with a score of 37.700. The freshman posted the Ladies’ best finish in floor exercise with a 9.550 which stood for seventh.

Noel Stubbs paced the Maroon and White on vault and balance beam with sixth place finishes in each event. The senior tallied a 9.625 on vault to tie with ISU’s Alex Marasco. Stubbs posted a 9.30 on the beam to tie with the Cyclones’ Caitlin Brown.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Feb. 13 at the GymQuarters Invitational in St. Charles, Mo.
