SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary women’s basketball team dropped a 70-48 decision to Texas Lutheran University on Friday evening to move to 0-23, 0-13 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action.

Rebecca Thompson led the Ladies with 11 points. Briana Edwards grabbed a team-best 14 rebounds and added 9 points along with DeiAnna Hall, who also supplied 9 points.

Centenary connected on 25.4 percent from the field, including 30.8 percent from behind the arc.

Bianca Casas paced a quartet of Bulldogs in double figures with 11 points. Taylor Dydalewicz, Sarah Flournoy and Savannah Hight each tallied 10 points in the victory. Kristen Lye pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Black and Gold.

TLU shot 35.4 percent from the floor and 23.3 percent from behind the 3-point line.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 15 as it hosts Southwestern University. Tip is slated for Noon.
