SHREVEPORT, La – Centenary College of Louisiana mourns the passing of Hall of Fame member and former men’s basketball coach Larry Little, who passed away from complications after receiving a new pacemaker on Monday.

Little, who coached the Gents from 1971-1976, is probably best known for signing and coaching NBA legend Robert Parish. His .750 (100-33) winning percentage is best all-time among Centenary basketball coaches and ranks fifth in total wins in only five seasons.  In his first season at the helm of the program, the team earned its first winning season in seven years. Three of the Gents' seven 20-win seasons came under Little.

Little left Centenary to become the head coach of the University of Hawaii, where he coached for nine seasons. Little racked up 103 wins, which ranks third all-time in UH history.

Little has been living in Las Vegas.
