Gymnasts post career-highs; Ladies record season-high team score at UAA

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Centenary gymnastics team posted a career-high in its dual meet with the University of Alaska-Anchorage while several gymnasts set career-highs in the meet.

The Ladies posted a 191.675 for the meet.

Kellie Slater set career-bests in the vault (9.725) and floor exercise (9.775) en route to claiming the vault title and a share of the top spot on floor.

Allison Scates, who finished second in all-around with a score of 38.525, posted a career-high on beam with a 9.725 to finish tied for fourth in the event alongside Sylvia Keiter, who tallied a career-best. Scates all-around score also marked a career-high. Noel Stubbs also added a career-high on the beam with a score of 9.650 to finish tied for seventh.

Natalie Humbert and Taylor LeMoal joined Slater with career-highs on vault. Humbert recorded a 9.625 to finish tied for fourth while LeMoal posted a 9.500 in 10th.

A trio of Ladies added career-bests on bars led by Ashley White’s 9.750, which was tied for third. White finished third in all-around with a score of 38.275. Noel Stubbs recorded a score of 9.675 to finish tied for fifth with Scates. Casie Hood added a 9.400 to finish eighth – a career-high.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Mar. 6 as it travels to Southeast Missouri State University. Meet time is slated for 6:30 p.m.
