Gymnastics posts season-best, team score; White wins fourth all-around title

SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary’s Ashley White won her fourth all-around title as the Ladies’ tallied a season-high score of 192.175 in a tri-meet against nationally-ranked Louisiana State University and the University of New Hampshire in front of a Gold Dome, gymnastics' attendance record of 1,147.

The season-best surpassed a 191.675 set at the University of Alaska-Anchorage just a few weeks ago.

White posted a score of 38.700 barely missing a career-high score of 38.775.

Noel Stubbs garnered a career-high for the Ladies on vault with a 9.800. The score was tops for the Maroon and White and seventh overall in the event. Kellie Slater tied a season-best with a 9.725 in the event which placed tied for 11th.

The Ladies received season-best outings from Slater and Megan Desjardins on floor exercise. Slater scored a 9.800 to pace the Maroon and White in a tie for seventh while Desjardins posted a 9.625 to finish 13th.

Allison Scates was the top finisher on the bars with a 9.625, which tied a season-best score and placed her in 11th in the event. Sylvia Keiter, Scates and Desjardins tied for 11th to lead the Ladies on beam with a 9.700.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, March 15 as the Ladies host New Hampshire at 2 p.m. The Ladies will honor their seniors following the meet.
