Ladies set season-high in home finale

SHREVEPORT, La. – For the second consecutive meet, the Centenary gymnastics team posted a season-high score of 193.775 in its final home meet of the season. The Ladies recorded season-bests on bars (48.400), beam (48.775) and floor (48.725) en route to the top score.

Ashley White posted a career-high 39.025 in all-around to finish second. White also tied for the event title on bars with a score of 9.825 – a career-high. Allison Scates recorded a 38.650 to finish third – a season-high.

The Ladies tied or recorded, five season-bests on bars and floor exercise and tallied four, season-highs on beam.

Noel Stubbs added a 9.775 on bars to finish fourth with Sylvia Keiter a 9.725 to finish tied for sixth. Scates and Casie Hood tied season-marks in the event. Scates added a 9.675 while Hood garnered a 9.400.

White led the Ladies on floor with a 9.80 to finish tied for fifth. The score tied a career-high. Keiter finished seventh with a 9.775 while Scates garnered a 9.725 in 10th. Megan Desjardins and Saxon Reaux tied for 11th with a score of 9.675.

On beam, Keiter and Slater tied for fifth with a score of 9.80 – both bests. Natalie Humbert finished tied for seventh with a score of 9.775 – also a season-high. White rounded out the group tying a best with a 9.725 to finish ninth.

Stubbs led the Maroon and White on vault – tying her career-high of 9.80 set on Friday.

The University of New Hampshire posted a team score of 196.150 while Meghan Pflieger won all-around with a score of 39.325.

Centenary returns to competition on Saturday, March 21 at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships in Denton, Texas. The conference are set for 4 p.m.
