SHREVEPORT, La. -- Centenary volleyball coach Caley Carter announced that Amanda Farr completed the necessary paperwork and deposit with intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana. Farr joins the Ladies from Sunnyvale High School in Sunnyvale, Texas.

"Amanda has a contagious positive attitude that is key for her position as a defensive specialist. She has a good serve which makes her valuable in that position,” Carter said. “She is already a prestigious academic leader and will be an excellent addition to Centenary both on and off the court."

Farr was a three-time academic all-district selection and two-time all-district performer for Lance Simmons. Farr was named captain during the 2014 season at SHS. She was named a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and National Honor Society. She was also named academic all-state in track and field and received Most Improved Player for Victory Volleyball Club for the 2014 season.
