KERRVILLE, Texas – Centenary’s Anna Dunn earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year. Morgan Daigle joins the Shreveport, La., native earning All-SCAC honors.

Dunn completed her inaugural season with a .409 batting average – which was fourth in the SCAC, tops among all freshmen and third highest in program history. She currently leads the conference in home runs (5), total bases (63) and slugging percentage (.677) – which is tops in school history. She is also in the top 10 in the league in hits (38 – seventh), runs (24 – eighth), doubles (8 – 10th) and on-base percentage (.462 – fourth). Dunn also earned Second Team All-SCAC honors at shortstop becoming just the fourth player in program history to be selected All-SCAC First or Second Team in the school’s three seasons as a member of the conference.

Daigle finished second on the team in batting average (.338) and runs (16) and third in hits (26). The The Church Point, La., product fourth in doubles (4) and total bases (30) and was fifth in on-base percentage (.386) in her collegiate debut.

The duo joins former Ladies Lauren Swift and Lynsi Uruh, who were named to the All-SCAC Team in 2013.

The Maroon and White's Lizzie Moran (OF), Emily Sexton (OF) and Michelle Tasin (2B) received SCAC Honorable Mention recognition.

Centenary concluded the 2015 season with 7-26 record and 4-20 in the conference.
