SHREVEPORT, La. – An Ian Graham sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th to score Brooks Williams lifted the Centenary baseball team into the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship game with a 3-2 win over No. 18 Trinity University.

The win, the second in extra innings for the Maroon and White this season, propels the Gents into the title game for the first time since 2013 when the squad faced Trinity.

Williams led off the inning with a walk. The Richmond, Texas, product advanced to second on a TU throwing error and moved up to third on a Michael Schimpf bunt single.

Taylor Henry (5-1) moved into a tie for fourth in career wins. The Bossier City, La., native tossed 4.2 innings with one run allowed on two hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

After leading 2-1 through eight frames, the Tigers knotted the contest at 2-all in the top of the ninth as Carter McEachern scored on a pair of Centenary miscues.

Centenary scored its first run in the fifth on a Dakota Brown RBI single to right field scoring Christian Sebastien. The Tigers tied the contest in the sixth, but the Gents regained the lead in the bottom of the inning on a Kody Carson RBI single to score Christ Zapata.

First pitch Sunday is slated for Noon.
