Henry adds ABCA/Rawlings All-West Region Team honor

GREENSBORO, NC – Centenary’s Taylor Henry continued to add to his postseason accolades as the senior hurler was named to the 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCA Division III All-West Region First Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Henry earned D3Baseball.com West Region Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-West Region earlier in the week. The Bossier City, La., native was the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and All-SCAC First Team following the 2015 campaign.

He led the conference in strikeouts (85) and saves (9) and was second in ERA (1.59). He helped lead Centenary the program to its second, SCAC regular title in three seasons and a runner-up finish in the conference tournament en route to a 24-17 mark and 15-3 in the SCAC.

Henry closed his Gents’ career as the leader in saves (17), fourth in career wins (18), strikeouts (202) and eighth in innings pitched (217.2).

The 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee. All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors.

ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Americans and Gold Glove winners will be announced on May 21, 2015.
