Cross country ran against numerous NCAA Division I teams this past weekend

RUSTON, LA – The Centenary College men’s and women’s cross country teams recently competed at The Mook 5, hosted by Louisiana Tech this past weekend. Other teams who competed include Jackson State, Northwestern State, ULM, Grambling State, and Bossier Parish Community College.

On the women’s side, junior Cameron Barney finished the 5k in 24:32 to finish 25th. Junior Brittany Wagner finished 34th in a time of 29:02.4. Freshmen Kelsea Keys, Elena Ring and Rebecca Dunn took 40th-42nd with times of 31:56.3, 32:24.5, and 34:20.8.

On the men’s side in the four mile race, freshman Stetson Carlile finished 43rd in a time of 28:25.8. Senior Kellen Bullock and freshman and Paul Ahuwahlia took 48th and 49th, respectively, crossing the line with times of 33:06.8 and 34:09.5. Senior David Gerhart finished 54th with a time of 43:34.3.

The cross country teams compete in their final tune-up before conference action next Saturday, September 26, in the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee.
