SEGUIN, Texas – The Ladies allowed a goal in the second minute and junior goalie Erica Coker grabbed 16 saves as Centenary College (1-10, 0-7 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Texas Lutheran (8-1-2, 4-1-2) 3-0 Friday night in women’s soccer action in Seguin, Texas.

Coker (1-6) allowed that single tally while grabbing 10 saves in the first half. It was the most saves in a game for her career and tied for the sixth-most in a single game in Ladies history.

Senior Madison Alexander recorded the lone shot on goal in the first half for the Maroon and White in the 12th minute while freshman Liz Knight added a shot on target in the 83rd minute.

Texas Lutheran managed to outshoot Centenary 28-6, including 19-2 in shots on target, but the Bulldogs made the most of its first attempt of the game. Just 1:54 in, Kelly Lochte found Sioned Kirkpatrick for the first score of the game.

The Bulldogs’ Zoe Gulick scored early in the second half while Makayla Mueller scored on a long ball about 30 yards out in the 85th minute.

The Ladies return to action Sunday, October 11, at Southwestern. Kickoff is set for noon.
