SHREVEPORT, La. – The Ladies scored late off the goalies hands, but it was not enough as Centenary (1-13, 0-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Schreiner (8-4-2, 5-2-1 SCAC) 3-1 Sunday afternoon on senior day, October 18.

The Mountaineers outshot the Ladies 24-6, including 14-3 in shots on goal.

In the 75th minute, freshman Maddy Brown took a shot from about 25 yards out. Schreiner’s goalie, Taylor Roberson, failed to catch the ball and it popped out of her hands over the line. Brown’s score was her only shot of the game.

Junior Marissa Hughes and senior Madison Alexander both had a pair of shots and one on target in the game.

Junior Erica Coker (1-9) took the loss in goal for the Maroon and White, grabbing nine saves. Freshman Madeline Herr came off the bench for two saves.

Kyli Harvey scored the first and third goal of the game on her only two shots for Schreiner. However, it was Delaney Morrow who provided the game winner for the visitors in the 17th minute when she scored directly off a corner.

Harvey led the Mountaineers with four shots, three of which were on target.

The Ladies return to action Friday, October 23, for their final home game of 2015. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
