COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Centenary volleyball team (5-20, 0-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) wraps up conference play this weekend with a long trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to take on Schreiner, Trinity, Texas Lutheran, and Southwestern.  Live stats are available for all four matches while video will be available against Texas Lutheran and Schreiner.

The Ladies fell in straight sets to each team last month in San Antonio, Texas.

Aces Aplenty

The Maroon and White enter the weekend third in the conference in both total aces (150) and aces per set with 1.76. The Ladies are 3-2 when recording 10+ aces in a match.

Wednesday, October 21, was the first time in more than a month that Centenary reached double-digit aces. Against Rust, the Ladies broke the 23-year old school record for aces in a match, finishing the match with 30. It is also the sixth-most aces in a match in NCAA Division III this season.

Against Rust, the Ladies recorded 10 aces each set.

Senior Kobi Stephens, who is third on the team with 17 aces, overtook the SCAC lead in aces per set with 0.63. Freshman Hailey Lawson continues to rank second in the conference with 0.49 aces per set.

Next Up

The Ladies complete the regular season next weekend when they host a Halloween tournament (October 30-31), taking on McMurray, Belhaven, Howard Payne, and LeTourneau.
