CONWAY, Ark. - The Centenary College swimming teams make the return trip to Conway, Arkansas, to take part in the Hendrix Relays on Friday, October 30, and the Hendrix Invite Saturday, October 31.

The Gents are coming off a dominating home win against Hendrix, 111-40, where they won every event of the meet. Meanwhile, the Ladies were clipped by the Warriors.

Senior Arash Ataei for the men and freshman Elna Ring each claimed a pair of individual wins as well as a relay crown. Ataei took the 100 breastroke, the 200 free and as a member of the 200 free relay. Ring won the the 100 IM, the 100 back, and as a member of the 200 yard medley relay.

While Saturday features a regular invitational with normal NCAA events, Friday will be fun and unique, according to Coach Jordan.

"We will have the few NCAA relay events, but there will also be relays featuring just one certain stroke," explained coach Jordan. "There will be a breastroke relay and a Butterfly relay. In the backstroke relay, the swimmers cannot start in the water after the start. So, they will have to jump in and turn on their back before a stroke is taken. This is very unique, we NEVER do this."
