Morris Grabs SCAC Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Freshman Jasmine Morris made the most of her first collegiate game on Friday night, a resounding 84-60 win for Centenary against Dallas Christian. On Monday, November 16, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference agreed with that sentiment.

Announced Monday by the SCAC, Morris garnered Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.

She led the team with 21 points on Friday against Dallas Christian, scoring 15 points in the first half alone en route to helping the Ladies take a 23-point halftime lead. Morris finished the game 7-of-10 from the floor and 7-of-10 from the line.

Morris’ 21 points scored is the most by a Lady in a season-opener in nine seasons.

The Ladies kick off a stretch of playing three home games in five days Tuesday, November 17, when they host East Texas Baptist. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
