White Takes Vault, Records Season High on Beam

PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore Ashley White received season bests on vault and beam, but it was not enough as Centenary (186.350) took third of three teams at the Penn quad. West Chester (190.875) won while the host Penn Quakers took second (190.600).

The event high for the Maroon and White came on vault, where it received a 47.550, just behind West Chester’s 47.700. White claimed the win with a season best 9.700. Senior Noel Stubbs took fifth on the event with a season best 9.6 while senior Kellie Slater finished right behind with a 9.575.

White also turned in a season best 9.700 on beam and finished fifth. Freshman Navia Smith finished third on floor with a 9.675.

Finally, White received a 9.625 on floor and 9.025 on bars to finish second in the all-around with a 38.050.

The Ladies return to action Saturday, February 6, when they take on Air Force. Meet time is set for 3 p.m. CST (2 p.m. in Colorado Springs, Colorado).
