Ladies Claim Pair of All-MIC Gymnasts, Finish Sixth

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Centenary gymnastics team wrapped up its final team competition of the season Saturday, March 19, at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships. The Ladies finished sixth with a team total of 188.825.

Lindenwood University won the championship with a total of 194.925. The hosts finished second with a total of 194.375.

Senior Megan Desjardins finished Second Team All-MIC on beam with a career-best 9.825 to finish fourth. Combined with a 9.150 on vault, 9.200 on bars and 9.675 on floor, Desjardins matched her career best and finished eighth.

Sophomore Ashley White finished fifth in the all-around to earn Second Team All-Conference in the all-around. She finished ninth on floor, receiving a 9.800 score. White went 9.575 on vault, 9.750 on bars and 9.475 on beam for her 38.600 total.

Senior Kellie Slater finished tied for ninth on vault with a score of 9.625.

Ladies return to action for the USA Gymnastics Championships April 8-10 at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.
