Gents Golf Sits 13th after Round 1

GEORGETOWN, Texas – After the first two rounds of the West Region Invitational at the par-72, Barry Creek CC course, Centenary men’s golf sits 13th with a 673 (+97).

Concordia University leads the way with a 593 (+17). Fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference-foe sit third (host Southwestern, 600 +29), fourth (Texas Lutheran, 605 +34), sixth (Schreiner, 660 +40) and seventh (Trinity 620 +44).

Freshman Jesse Hall leads the way for the Gents, firing a 77 (+5) in the first round and a 79 (+7), shooting 12 over par for the afternoon and sitting 35th. Classmate Edvard Granrud is 59th with a two-round total of 167 (+23). Sophomore Graham Maxwell shot a pair of rounds of 87 (+15) and sits 65th (+30).

Freshman Henry Llorence is 67th with a 179 (+35), while senior Christopher Cates improved four strokes in round two and sits 70th with a 188 (+44).

Centenary returns to action for the final round Tuesday, April 5.
