Men’s Golf Adds Cole Lanier for 2016-17

SHREVEPORT, La. – Head Centenary golf coach Emlyn Aubrey is pleased to announce the addition of Cole Lanier for the 2016-17 school year.

“Cole is going to be a solid performer for Gents Golf,” said Aubrey. “He is coming in with a good freshman class, and I look for major improvements with their addition and with our returners. Our upcoming season is definitely looking up, and I am already looking forward to getting them started.”

Lanier golfed for head coach Joey Buchta at Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas. During his high school career, he helped the Falcons finish third at Regionals and qualify for the State Championship for the first time in the more than 40-year history of Hargrave High School. Individually, Lanier finished third his sophomore year, second his junior season and won District his senior year. Lanier earned MVP honors all four years with the Falcons, carding a hole-in-one his senior year and winning the Red Wolf Invitational his junior year. His lowest 18-hole total is 77.

 

Born in Houston Texas, Lanier is the son of Budd and Brandy Lanier and has one brother, Conner. He is undecided on an academic major at Centenary.
