Inaugural Season of Centenary Triathlon Ends at NCAA Championships

NEW ORLEANS – The Centenary triathlon team concluded its first season with a fifth-place finish (second among NCAA Division III schools) at the second NCAA Triathlon Championships, which was contested in New Orleans on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 5.

The Ladies finished ahead of NCAA Division II Black Hills State by five places. Arizona State won the NCAA Championship.

Freshman Tori Boyle was the top finisher for the Ladies, finishing the course in 1:14:40. Junior Caitlyn Faulhaber and senior Jane Barney finished 37th and 38th with times of 1:15:57 and 1:16:29, respectively.

Sophomore Rebecca Dunn completed three disciplines with a time of 1:22:06.

10 NCAA and club teams and 48 athletes competed for the National Championship in 2016.
