Ladies Third, Gents Sixth after Day 1 at Hal Sutton Invite

BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Ladies have three individuals in the top-15, while Freshman Brodey Warner sits 14th for the Gents after day one of the Hal Sutton Invite for Centenary Monday afternoon, March 20.

The Ladies are third with a total of 355 (+67). Tyler Junior College leads the women’s tournament with a 308 (+20), while Mary Hardin-Baylor second (+32, 320). After the Maroon and White, Hardin-Simmons is fourth (+72, 360), NCAA Division I Jackson State is fifth (+97, 385), McMurry sixth (+98, 386), Howard Payne seventh (+157, 445), and Louisiana College eighth (+264, 552).

The Gents shot 332 (+44) and lead Pelican State-rival Louisiana College by 40 strokes (+84, 372). Tyler Junior College leads the men’s tournament at -8 (280).

Freshman Erin Rostro sits 11th for the Ladies with a first round of 84 (+12), while sophomores Jessica Varner and Taylor Adair are tied for 13th (+13). Junior Toni Collaro is 28th (+29, 101), while senior Courtney Kale is 31st with a +46 (118).

For the Gents, Warner fired a 78 (+6). Freshman Reed Balcerowicz and sophomore Edvard Granrud are tied for 26th (84, +12). Freshman Taylor Wells shot an 86 (+14) to sit tied for 31st. Freshman Gabe Rodriguez is 34th at +15 (87).

The final round of the Hal Sutton Invite begins Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
