White Moves to Event Finals on Beam at USAG Championships

SEATTLE – Junior Ashley White received a season-best 9.775 on beam at the semifinals Friday night, April 7, to advance to the event finals Sunday at the USA Gymnastics Championships, hosted by Seattle Pacific.

Her curious spread of 9.85 and 9.70 for her average of 9.775 was the third-best score for the second session and the ninth-best in both sessions combined on the day. Her 38.500 score in the all-around was the 10th-best score of the day.

Three other gymnasts either matched career highs or season bests. Senior Taylor Le Moal finished her Ladies career with a 9.525 on vault to match her season high. Freshman Delia Ardoin received a career best 9.650 on beam for the fourth time this season, while freshman Aspen Hattley matched her career best of 9.600 on vault for the third time in the last four meets.

White will compete in the beam finals Sunday afternoon, April 9, beginning at 3 p.m. (1 p.m. PDT).
