SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary softball opens its 2013 home slate on Friday, Feb. 22 as the Louisiana College Softball Round Robin has been moved to the Centenary campus due to the threat of rain in the Pineville/Alexandria area.

The Ladies open the first day of action at 11 a.m. on Friday against Millsaps followed by a 3 p.m. first pitch against Louisiana College. Saturday’s scheduled has the Maroon and White returning to the field at 11 a.m. against LeTourneau and wrapping up the two-day event at 3 p.m. against Millsaps.

Centenary enters the weekend action after being swept at LeTourneau to open the season. Lauren Swift and Nicole Warren led the Maroon and White at the plate with each collecting a pair of hits. Lynsi Unruh put together a solid effort in the circle in the 1-0 loss striking out six batters and posting a 1.11 ERA in the season opener. Unruh tossed 6.1 innings and allowed eight hits on the afternoon.
