GEORGETOWN, Texas – Centenary (18-21) lost to #2 Texas Lutheran (35-1) in the Ladies second game in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Softball Tournament Friday, April 27.

While junior Margeaux Smith (4-4) went through the first two innings unscathed, but the Bulldogs scored four in the third, three in the fourth, and one more in the fifth to end the game in five innings. Smith allowed 10 hits and eight runs (seven earned) in 4.1 innings pitched.

Maitlin Raycroft (17-0) threw a no-hitter to lead Texas Lutheran, allowing walks to junior Payton LeBlanc and Smith.

With the Bulldogs up 5-0 in the fourth and a runner on base, Haley Padilla hit her eighth home run of the season. Texas Lutheran ended the game in the fifth when Cassie Roche and Skylar Ouellette hit back-to-back doubles to score the eighth run of the game.

Centenary returns to action Saturday morning, April 28, in an elimination game against Dallas. First pitch is set for 10 a.m.
