Ladies begin Rhodes Tournament Friday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After wrapping up Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play, Centenary will compete in the Rhodes Tournament Friday and Saturday before the league tournament Nov. 2.

The Ladies finished as the No. 6 seed in the SCAC Tournament (1-26, 0-10 SCAC), but look to build momentum by closing the regular season against three of four teams with losing records. Centenary and Martin Methodist College (7-18) are slated for Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. The Ladies then face off with host Rhodes College (4-24) directly after before another doubleheader Saturday.

Centenary will face Birmingham Southern (14-10) and Bridgewater St. (11-13) at noon and 2 p.m., respectively, Saturday.

Southwestern University awaits the Ladies in the first round of the SCAC Tournament, which will be in Colorado Springs, Colo., Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. Southwestern won both of the regular-season meetings 3-0.
