Brianna Edwards is beginning her first season as an assistant coach for 2017-18 after a stellar four-year career with Ladies basketball from 2012-2016.

2015-16 Senior Season: Named Third Team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, becoming the first player in conference history with 900 points, 900 rebounds, 200 blocks, and a four-time All-Conference performer... Broke the single-season blocks record with 82... Finished 16th in the nation and led the SCAC with 3.15 blocks per game... Broke and then tied the single-game blocks record with seven against Colorado College January 2 and Dallas February 7... Recorded a block in all but two of the 26 games played... Started 23 games... Averaged 10.1 points... Her 9.4 rebounds per game led the conference and ranked 100th in the nation... Led the conference and ranked 60th in the nation with 12 double-doubles... Scored a season high 20 points against Austin College February 5 while grabbed 18 rebounds twice: in a win against Millsaps November 21 and in a win against Dallas Christian February 20... Named SCAC Player of the Week on February 22 after 15 points, 18 boards, and five blocks against Dallas Christian on February 20.

2014-15 Junior Season: Named Honorable Mention All-SCAC after finishing the year averaging a double-double, leading the team in both points (11.8) and rebounds (11.3) per game… Finished second in the SCAC and 36th in the nation in rebounding…  Led the team, finished second in the SCAC and 50th in the nation with 52 blocks (2.0 per game)… Led the team with a 39.2 shooting percentage… Broke the school record for rebounds in a game, grabbing 26 in a loss to LSU-Alexandria December 9… Recorded eight double-doubles (points and rebounds), including 21 points and 20 rebounds in a loss to Schreiner February 1… Tallied five-straight double-doubles from January 10-24… One of two Ladies to start all 24 games of season.

2013-14 Sophomore Season: SCAC Honorable Mention… Played in 21 games for the Ladies with 17 starts… Led the team in scoring and rebounding averaging a double-double for the season with 10.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game… Led the squad in field goal percentage with 42.2 percent … Recorded 23 steals – third on the team… Tallied a team-leading 30 blocks… Tied her career mark with 18 points at Austin College on Feb. 21 while also setting a career-high with 18 rebounds in the game… Led the team in double-doubles with 10.

2012-13 Freshman Season: SCAC Honorable Mention... Started all 25 games for the Maroon and White in her first season… Averaged 27 minutes on the floor… Finished her freshman campaign with 192 points (7.7 ppg) – third most on the team… Led the squad in rebounds with 237 (9.5 rpg)… Recorded a team-best seven double-doubles… Posted a season-high 18 points and 16 rebounds in a win at Colorado College on Feb. 9 – marking her sixth, career double-double… Tallied 10 contests with double figures in scoring… Recorded 12 double-digit rebounding efforts.

Prior to Centenary: Earned four letters playing basketball at Captain Shreve HS… 2011 Second-Team All-District selection… Named Most Valuable Player of 2011 Thanksgiving Classic… Member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Technical Honor Society, four-year Honor Roll... Nominated for Mike Mark Award.

Personal: Daughter of Reginald and Greta Edwards… Birthday is July 20… Has one older brother, Derrick… Wants to be a special education teacher post graduation… Majoring in education.
