SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary placed three players in double figures including a double-double from Briana Edwards, but it wasn’t enough as the Ladies fell 77-60 to the University of Dallas on Friday evening.

Edwards led the squad with 15 points and 11 rebounds to garner her fourth double-double of the season. The Shreveport, La., native has scored in double digits in nine outings. The Maroon and White also logged 12 points each from Haley Deshautelle and Rebecca Thompson.

Centenary posted its second highest shooting percentage of the season in the setback connecting on 41.1 percent from the field. The Ladies held UD to a clip of 36.2 – the second lowest this season finishing just better than the 36 percent at LSU-Alexandria earlier this season.

Brooke Hagemann paced the Crusaders with 13 points as the Blue and White picked up 11 from Michelle DeCoud and 10 from Marleyna Bustamante. DeCoud also grabbed a team-best eight boards in the win.

Despite fighting to a nearly even second half, the Ladies couldn’t overcome a 35-19 deficit in the opening stanza. The Blue and White used 27 Centenary miscues to garner 20 points en route to the victory.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Jan. 18 as they host Austin College. Tip is slated for Noon.
