LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – It is always good to have the last word of the season before the voting on All-Conference. Senior Briana Edwards did just that.

Announced on Monday, February 22, Edwards was named the final Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the 2015-16 season.

Against Dallas Christian on Saturday, an 81-58 win for the Ladies, Edwards scored 15 points and grabbed 18 boards for her 11th double-double of the season. She leads the conference and is 61st in the nation in that category.

With five blocks against the Crusaders, Edwards now has more than 200 rejections for her Centenary career.

The Maroon and White return to action Friday night with an SCAC Tournament quarterfinal game against Schreiner. Tip is slated for 7 p.m.
