FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Led by Brittany Wilkens and Adam Nerio, the Centenary cross country teams competed at the nationally regarded Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday morning. The Ladies finished the 6K run in 38^th place, while the Gents closed out at the 10K race in 28^th.

For the women, Wilkens finished in 229^th place (25:24.42) and behind her was Cara Miccoli (25:45.86), who ended her morning in 240^th. Natalie Holcomb (26:17.98) was just under a minute behind Miccoli, but finished in 253^rd place.

Also running for the Ladies was Mellynn Baker (26:52.25), who came in 268^th place, while Jacquelyn Batson (27:16.08) and Jessica Brown (27:19.54) finished right behind each other in 275^th and 276^th place. The final Centenary runner was Sunny Lagrone (27:46.50), who was the 284^th runner to cross the finish line.

The Gents top runner was Nerio (34:30.02), who finished the race in 187^th place, while Adam Walton (35:13.59) was close behind in 206^th. The next Centenary runner to cross the line was Robert Poole (36:54.47), who finished in 233^rd place.

The final three runners for the Gents were Michael Hydel (37:02.97), Chris Patterson (37:58.13) and Jonathan Martin (38.11.97), who finished in 236^th, 244^th and 247^th place respectively.

Centenary’s next action will be in two weeks at The Summit League Championship Meet in Shreveport.
